    • United Kingdom
    • Malaysia
    • Indonesia

    • France
    • Canada

However, there are other various countries importing Ihrams in bulk as well.

Why importing Ahram from Pakistan is a good option.

Importing Ahram from Pakistan can be a good option for several reasons. Pakistan is known for its high-quality cotton fabrics, which are durable and suitable for use in the hot and humid climate of the Arabian Peninsula. Additionally, Pakistan has a large textile industry and produces a variety of fabrics that are used in the manufacturing of Ihram. By importing Ihram from Pakistan, countries can ensure a steady supply of high-quality, affordable Ihram fabrics for their pilgrims, while also supporting the local textile industry in Pakistan.

What are different Cotton Yarns used to make Ihrams?

Ihram towels are frequently woven from a variety of cotton yarns, each of which has special qualities of its own:

    1. Combed cotton: Before the cotton fibres are spun into yarn, the shorter fibres and impurities are taken out to create combed cotton yarn. This results in a strong and smooth yarn with a soft feel and high absorbency, making it a popular choice for Ihram towels.
    2. Ring-spun cotton: Ring-spun cotton yarns are made by twisting and thinning the cotton fibers to create a finer, stronger yarn. High-quality Ihram towels frequently employ this type of yarn because of its softness and toughness.
    3. Egyptian cotton: Egyptian cotton is a long-staple variety of cotton that is cultivated in Egypt. It is known for its superior quality and luxurious feel, and is often used in the production of high-end Ihram towels.
    4. Turkish cotton: Another long-staple cotton that is renowned for its softness, absorbency, and durability is Turkish cotton. It is often used in the production of high-quality Ihram towels.
    5. Organic cotton: Because it is grown without the use of pesticides or other harmful chemicals, organic cotton is a preferred alternative for those who are concerned about the environment. It is often used in the production of organic Ihram towels.
    6. Auto coro yarn: Auto coro yarn, also known as rotor-spun yarn, is made by feeding a continuous strand of cotton fiber into a rapidly spinning rotor, which twists and drafts the fibers into a yarn. This process is fast and efficient, making it a cost-effective option for producing large quantities of yarn quickly. Auto coro yarns tend to be less uniform and have a rougher texture than ring-spun yarns, but they can still be used for making Ihram towels.
    7. Open-end yarn: Open-end yarn is made by feeding a sliver of cotton fiber into a spinning rotor, which uses a break rotor to open and twist the fibers into a yarn. This process is similar to auto coro spinning, but uses a different type of rotor. Open-end yarns tend to be less uniform and have a lower quality than ring-spun yarns, but they are also more cost-effective.
    8. Carded yarn: Carded yarn is made by passing the cotton fibers through a carding machine, which aligns the fibers and removes any impurities. The carded fibers are then spun into yarn using a spinning frame. Carded yarns tend to be less smooth and have more variation in thickness than combed or ring-spun yarns, but they can still be used for making Ihram towels.

Each kind of yarn has distinctive qualities of its own and is appropriate for various uses. When selecting yarn for making Ihram towels, factors such as cost, quality, and desired characteristics such as softness, absorbency, and durability should be taken into consideration.

What are different Weaving techniques most common for making of Ihram Towels?

    1. Plain weave is a basic weave structure in which the weft yarns are alternately woven over and under the warp yarns. This creates a strong and durable fabric with a flat, smooth surface. Plain weave fabrics are lightweight and breathable, making them a popular choice for Ihram towels.
    2. Terry weave, on the other hand, is a type of pile weave in which the weft yarns are woven into loops on the surface of the fabric. This creates a soft, plush texture that is highly absorbent and ideal for drying off after bathing or performing ritual ablutions. Terry weave fabrics are also commonly used for Ihram towels.
    3. Dobby weave is a type of weave that uses a special attachment on the loom to create small geometric patterns in the fabric. This attachment is called a dobby and is used to lift and lower selected warp threads to create the desired pattern. Dobby weave fabrics can range from simple designs to more complex patterns, depending on the number of warp threads that are controlled by the dobby attachment. Dobby weave can be used to create simple geometric patterns in Ihram towels that add a touch of elegance and uniqueness to the fabric.
    4. Jacquard weave is a type of weave that uses a special loom to create intricate patterns and designs in the fabric. The Jacquard loom uses a system of punched cards to control the warp threads, allowing for a wide range of complex designs to be created. Jacquard weave fabrics can range from simple designs to highly intricate and detailed patterns. For Ihram towels, Jacquard weave can be used to create more elaborate designs with religious significance, such as verses from the Quran or the names of Allah.

    Care for Ahraam towels

Ihram towels are considered sacred and should be treated with the utmost respect and care. Here are some tips for taking care of Ihram towels:

    1. Wash them separately: Always wash Ihram towels separately from other laundry items to prevent any contamination or mixing with other clothing items.
    2. Use a gentle detergent: Use a gentle, mild detergent that is free from harsh chemicals and fragrances to avoid any damage to the fabric.
    3. Avoid fabric softeners: Do not use fabric softeners or dryer sheets, as they can leave a residue on the fabric and reduce its absorbency.
    4. Wash in cold water: Use cold water to wash Ihram towels, as hot water can damage the fabric and cause it to shrink.
    5. Air dry: It is recommended to air dry Ihram towels instead of using a dryer, as high heat can damage the fabric and cause it to shrink.
    6. Store properly: Store Ihram towels in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture to prevent any mold or mildew growth.
    7. Handle with care: Always handle Ihram towels with care and avoid any rough handling or folding that can damage the fabric or the embroidery.

By following these care instructions, you can ensure that your Ihram towels remain clean, soft, and in good condition for a long time.

    Ihram Towels Sizing Advise

The sizing for Ihram towels can vary across different regions and cultures. However, generally, the standard size for an Ihram towel is around 110 cm x 220 cm (approximately 43 inches x 86 inches). This size is suitable for most men, and the towel can be wrapped around the body during the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage.

However, some manufacturers may produce larger or smaller sizes based on regional preferences or individual needs. Some Ihram towels may also come with additional embroidery or decorative elements that add to their size or weight.

It is important to note that the size of an Ihram towel should be appropriate for the individual using it. The towel should be large enough to cover the body adequately but not so large that it becomes cumbersome to carry or wrap around the body during the pilgrimage. It is recommended to choose a size that is comfortable and easy to manage during the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage.

Role of Ihram in Hajj and Umrah

Ihram is a state of purity that Muslims enter into before performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage. The term “Ihram” comes from the Arabic word “haram”, which means “forbidden”, and refers to the prohibited acts and behaviors that Muslims must avoid while in this state of purity. Ihram involves wearing special clothing and performing certain rituals and acts of worship.

The history of Ihram dates back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who established the rituals and practices of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. The clothing worn during Ihram consists of two pieces of plain, white fabric, one of which is wrapped around the waist and the other draped over the shoulders. The clothing is intended to symbolize the equality and unity of all Muslims before God, regardless of their social status or wealth.

During the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, Ihram plays an important role in several ways. First, it serves as a reminder to Muslims that they are entering a state of purity and must abstain from certain behaviors and actions. This includes refraining from cutting their hair or nails, using perfume or scented products, engaging in sexual activity, or engaging in arguments or disputes.

Second, the clothing worn during Ihram helps to create a sense of unity and equality among all Muslims, as everyone is dressed in the same simple, white garments. This fosters a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood among pilgrims, regardless of their nationality, race, or social status.

Finally, the rituals and acts of worship performed during Ihram, including the Tawaf (circumambulation) of the Kaaba in Mecca and the Sa’i (running between the hills of Safa and Marwa), are integral parts of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, and serve as acts of devotion and submission to God.
